Process

Inverted glass painting is an artistic technique that requires great mastery.

Known in the West since ancient times, it is executed directly on a sheet of glass.

The glass supports the painting as a canvas, and serves as both a support and a protective varnish.

The work is painted on a single plate of glass or by superimposing several plates so as to create a relief and a play of shadows and light.

The talent of the artist is to imagine down to the smallest detail the final version of the image, knowing that what is painted upside down and on the right side will finally be seen on the left side by a "mirror effect".

The high technicality of these achievements make works of great delicacy.
